Our History
About Sun Devil Divers
Founded in 1974 by Ward and Joel O’Connell, Sun Devil Divers was established to support the growth of springboard and platform diving in Arizona.
Our program offers instruction for all levels—from beginners just learning to dive to athletes competing at the collegiate and national levels.
Beyond diving skills, we strive to create an environment where athletes grow mentally, physically, and socially. Through the sport of diving, our goal is to instill responsibility, a strong work ethic, character, and a commitment to excellence both in and out of the pool.
