After a highly successful athletic career that included representing the United States in the Olympics, Mark Bradshaw became the Head Diving coach at Arizona State University in the summer of 1997. Shortly after being named ASU's head diving coach, Bradshaw also took on head coaching duties of the Sun Devil Divers based out of the Mona Plummer Aquatics Complex in Tempe, AZ. For the next seven years Bradshaw helped tutor some of the areas best divers. During this time there have been many Sun Devil athletes that have represented Sun Devil at the regional, zone and national championships. Quoting Bradshaw, "I took on the role as coach of this club team in '97 for two reasons. One was to locate and develop young talent in the East Valley. Secondly, I wanted to establish and cultivate young coaches who look to impart their wisdom onto these young divers. As of 2004, I believe we have accomplished those two ideas." Coach Bradshaw stepped aside from his role as head coach and named Marc Briggs Sun Devil Divers new head coach in August 2004.

Marc Briggs completed his college diving career at Arizona State University (1999-2001) where he was a three time All-American in the 3-meter and 10-meter events.  Prior to ASU, coach Briggs competed one season for the University of North Dakota (1997) earning All American honors on 3-meter and 1-meter...then moved on to be the assistant coach for City of Midland (1997-1999) Midland, Texas. In August 1999, Briggs earned a scholarship to dive for ASU graduating in 2002 with a Degree in Secondary Education / Emphasis K-12 Physical Education. Briggs became an elementary Physical Education (K-5) in the Kyrene School District. During this time Briggs also worked as the assistant coach for Sun Devil Divers. In August of 2004, Briggs took over as the head coach of Sun Devil and continued to teach physical education until May of 2011. During his years with Sun Devil, coach Briggs has produced multiple Junior/ Senior National qualifiers, one Jr. World Team Member and numerous divers who have continued on with Collegiate diving as a walk on, or scholarship athlete.  Coach Briggs was pivotal in the development and building the foundation for 2016 Olympic Silver Medalist, Sam Dorman.  With over 20 years coaching experience and 9 years working with elementary school children, coach Briggs looks to use his knowledge and dedication in the sport of diving to further develop and continue the success of Sun Devil Divers.

Connor Dignan began diving with Sun Devil Divers at the age of 8 and competed for Desert Vista High School. Connor went on to compete at the collegiate level for Denison University, achieving four NCAC Conference Titles, one NCAA DIII National Title and two NCAA DIII National records on the 1m and 3m. He was also names NCAC Diver of the Year in 2014 and 2015. Connor is now back with Sun Devil Divers as a coach.  With his background in both the club and the sport, Connor focuses on developing a fundamental base for our divers to work and further progress their diving.


Warren McElroy - Assistant Coach: Focus - Future Champions

Warren started diving with Sun Devil Divers at the age of 13.  He worked his way up through our Bronze, Silver, Gold, Elite classes and then competed for college at Arizona State University.  During Warren's senior year at Cora del Sol, his high school coach was involved in a motorcycle accident and unable to coach for a large portion of the year. Warren's coach asked him if he was able to take his place while he was injured.  Without hesitation Warren agreed to step in and help out.  Warren and his high school dive team remained undefeated for all of his senior year.  Warren is an All-City Champion and placed 6th in the State.  Warren has also qualified for USA Zones 3 times.


Paige Hunt - Guest Coach

Paige started diving with Sun Devil Divers in 2007 and competed for Mountain View High School.  She continued her career as a collegiate athlete at the University of Idaho, achieving 3 WAC titles, breaking school records on the 1m, 3m and platform.  She was also named WAC diver of the year in 2013.  In her career Paige has qualified for the National Championships in 2010, 2014 & 2016.  Paige has been continuing her love of diving, as she coaches divers to become successful on and off the pool deck.


Jack Schuster - Guest Coach

Jack began his diving career with Clavadistas del Sol at the age of 11. During his time with CdS, Jack qualified for two National Championships. At age 15 Jack continued his diving career with Sun Devil Divers where he qualified for the National Championship in 2012. Jack has lead two recreational diving programs and looks forward to continuing his coaching career with Sun Devil Divers. Jack believes sharing his knowledge and passion for diving will inspire young athletes to succeed in diving as well as love it!
